Terms of use

Our current pre-launch terms and record-handling commitments.

Read together: Privacy · Terms · Data retention ·

Covenant Academy is operated by Australian National Covenant Message Inc, referred to here as Covenant Message. These terms cover covenant.academy and learn.cov.academy. The Academy has not launched yet. Contact info@cov.academy about account access, study concerns or these terms.

1. Using the Academy

The marketing site describes the Academy and accepts enquiries. An enquiry is not enrolment or acceptance into a course. The learning site provides account-based features. Check the relevant course page for availability, requirements and access arrangements.

Students and teachers must complete the Welcome course once before accessing other courses as learners. Administrators are exempt. Teachers can still build and preview their own courses. Saved Welcome completion does not have to be repeated.

2. Accounts and age

You must be at least 14 to have a learning account. Provide your date of birth at sign-up so the Academy can check the minimum age and whether AI marking is allowed. Existing learners without a recorded date of birth are asked to add it before continuing. Do not provide false details to bypass these checks. Date of birth is used only for age and marking checks and is deleted with the account. A parent or guardian email address is not collected by the sign-up form.

Use accurate account details and keep your password secure. Do not share your account, impersonate another person or try to access someone else’s records. Tell info@cov.academy if you suspect unauthorised access. Your account stores enrolment, progress, assessment attempts, marks and feedback.

3. Acceptable use and assessment work

Use the site lawfully and treat others respectfully. Do not submit threats, harassment, unlawful material, malware or information you do not have permission to share. Do not interfere with the service, bypass security or obtain other learners’ information.

Submit your own assessment work and acknowledge sources. Follow course-specific rules on collaboration, assistance and AI tools. Do not represent another person’s work as your own. Account or course concerns can be raised at info@cov.academy; these terms do not promise a particular account-closure or appeal process that has not been put in place.

4. AI-assisted marking

Written answers may be marked with AI help using Google’s unpaid Gemini service only for learner accounts with a recorded date of birth showing they are 18 or older. Written answers from learners under 18, or without a recorded date of birth, are saved for manual marking by a teacher rather than sent to an AI marker. A grading request sends one answer with the question, answer-length guidance, marking rubric, model answer and marking instructions. It does not add your account name, email address, user ID, profile, progress or other answers. Anything you include in the answer itself will be sent.

Google’s unpaid-service terms allow inputs and outputs to be used to improve products and reviewed by people. Do not put personal, confidential or sensitive details in an answer submitted for AI marking. Do not type names, contact details, health, family, church, financial or other private information. Write about the topic only. Read the Privacy policy for the full Google data-handling explanation.

A personal-details warning appears at the start of each module, not at every answer box. It does not name Gemini. AI marks and feedback can be wrong. Multiple-choice answers are marked by the LMS. Contact info@cov.academy about a mark or to ask about teacher review. No specific teacher-marking or review turnaround is promised here.

5. Privacy

The Privacy policy explains enquiry logs, email notifications, learning records, profile information, technical data, retention limits and external providers. Read it before providing information or submitting work.

6. Course content and copyright

Respect copyright and other rights in teaching materials. Access to a course does not transfer ownership to you. Do not republish, sell or distribute material without permission, except where the law or a specific licence allows it. Third-party material remains subject to its rights and licences. Acknowledge Scripture and other sources appropriately.

You are responsible for having the right to submit your material. Submission involves storage and assessment by the Academy and its enabled service providers, including the AI marking described above. These terms do not claim ownership of your original work or permission to publish it publicly.

7. Certificates and accreditation

Any certificate issued by the Academy is an Academy course-completion certificate. It is not an Australian Qualifications Framework qualification, accredited VET award or evidence of registration with a professional body. The Academy does not currently offer an accredited course or recognised qualification, and no training partner is agreed. Future pathways are exploratory, not promises of credit, accreditation, funding or a qualification.

8. Stopping study, withdrawal and payments

You can stop working on a course and contact info@cov.academy about withdrawal or account closure. Stopping study does not automatically erase account or learning records; see the Privacy policy and ask about your records. No automatic re-entry, access extension or deletion entitlement is promised by these terms.

Payments and donations are not part of the current pre-launch enquiry flow. Any future paid offering needs clear pricing, access, cancellation and refund information before payment. No refund deadline or cancellation fee is set by these terms. Nothing here excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian consumer law.

9. Availability and educational scope

The Academy is a pre-launch learning service. Materials and features may change as it develops. They are for study and discussion, not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. No uninterrupted availability or fixed feature set is promised.

10. Questions, complaints and acceptance

Email info@cov.academy about account, course, assessment, privacy or terms concerns. Explain the issue and the outcome you want; do not email a password. No fixed complaint-response deadline is set here.

These terms should be read with the Privacy policy, which Covenant Message adopts as voluntary good privacy practice. Publishing them does not by itself establish that every existing account has accepted this version or that an acceptance checkbox is implemented. The learning site’s actual acceptance process must be followed where provided. The date at the top identifies this version; review the terms when they change. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable law.
